Karl Swenson, a talented 14-year-old from Kindred has been commissioned to compose a piece for band and choir to commemorate the 20^th anniversary of the infamous 1997 flood. It’s called “Come Hell and High Water,” and the first movement of the composition will premier Thursday, performed by the Ada-Borup High School Band. Joining Karl for today’s show is Ada-Borup band director Richard Tuttle. ~~~ Part two from Harvest Public Media on mergers in the agriculture industry. ~~~ We share Dr. Peter Rieke’s address from this year’s TEDx event in Fargo. In 1994 he broke his neck and back while rock climbing.
