Meet Ross Lockhart of the Northern Small Farm Alliance, a group of farmers working to enhance and promote local and organically grown food. They’re showing the film “Farmers for America” at Scheels Arena in Fargo on Thursday. It’s a film that looks at the turnover in the nation’s farming communities. The average age of the U.S. farmer is 60, and half of America's farmland is going to change hands in the next 12 years. It’s the story of young people who are stepping up. Ross and his wife Amber run Heart and Soil Farm.
