New pension 'shore-up' proposal called a 'win-win'

The Senate Appropriations Committee is looking at a proposal – where some higher-salaried state employees who opted out of the state’s “defined benefit” retirement plan and joined a “defined contribution” plan (similar to a 401-K), could opt back in. As Prairie Public’s Dave Thompson reports, it’s being offered as an amendment to a House retirement bill.
