Shella Fong on "Flavors Under the Big Sky" ~ Terri Burns: "Parenting in a Pandemic"

Monday, August 3, 2020 - One silver lining of the COVID 19 pandemic is that some are returning to home cooking and exploring local flavors. Sarah Aaronson, host of The Write Question, visits with Yellowstone Public Radio’s Stella Fong about her newest cookbook, Flavors Under the Big Sky.The book pays tribute to her Chinese American heritage and the bounty of eating locally in the plains and in the mountains. ~~~ Chuck Lura shares a Natural North Dakota essay, “Milkweed and Bees.” ~~~ Parenting during “normal” times is challenging enough, but parenting amid COVID-19 is testing even the most patient of parents. Lutheran Social Service is offering “Parenting in a Pandemic,” an online discussion on a broad variety of topics, including back-to-school concerns, child care resources, and ways to keep families sane and safe. Due to demand, LSS has already added a second session. We visit with Terri Burns of Project Renew, a free crisis counseling program established by LSS in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
