Public Invited to Todd Harburn Presentation and Book Signing North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum

The public is invited to a presentation and book signing by Todd Harburn, author of “A Life Cut Short at the Little Big Horn: U.S. Army Surgeon George E. Lord ” at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Harburn, an orthopedic surgeon, has written several books about the American West. “A Life Cut Short at the Little Big Horn” is the first published biography of Dr. George E. Lord, one of three physicians who accompanied Lt. Col. George A. Custer to the Battle of the Little Bighorn. The presentation will focus on Lord’s time at Fort Buford State Historic Site and his medical work while stationed there.

Harburn will sign books following the presentation. Participants can bring their own books or purchase them at the event.
