Upcoming Programs at Fort Buford and the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center

The public is invited to these upcoming events at Fort Buford and the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston. Events are free and open to the public. All times are Central time.

May 20 19th-Century Sewing, Textile Arts, and Projects, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Bring your lunch. Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center

May 21 History and Nature Lecture Series, 2 p.m. Brandon Delvo will talk about recent studies of PTSD indications within the frontier military era. Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center

May 27 Flag Raising Ceremony conducted by the Fort Buford 6th Infantry Regiment Association frontier army re-enactors at 12 p.m. Flags will be raised at the field officer quarters, cemetery, and Masonic Lodge site. Raising the reproduction 1872 flag marks the beginning of summer hours. Fort Buford will be open daily, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center will be open daily, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is part of Fort Buford State Historic Site managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center hours are Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m-5 p.m. CT; Sunday, 1-5 p.m. CT; and closed Monday-Tuesday. Fort Buford is currently closed.
