"Blue Book" honored

By Dave Thompson

Bismarck, ND – North Dakota's biennial "Blue Book" has won an award from the National Conference of State Legislatures.

The 2007-2009 Blue Book won the "Notable Documents Award" in the category of citizens' guide. The book features a lot of facts and figures about North Dakota, as well as features about the state.

"To put together this book requires over 70 contributors who volunteer their time to cointribute," said Secretary of State Al Jaeger, who publishes the biennial Blue Book. "Really to have their efforts recognized by this national award is really very exciting."

Jaeger says work has already started on the next Blue Book -- to be unveiled early in 2009.
