ND Libraries Add Educational Databases

Three online resources, or databases, have been added to North Dakota public libraries.

Steven Acksman is the training coordinator at the North Dakota State Library. He said Britannica School, NoveList, and Zinio have been added to the North Dakota public libraries’ website. He said all databases are free to those who have online access.

“They’re great tools for research or general interest,” Acksman said. “Most people couldn’t afford to pay for these on their own. As a consortium we work together with the coordinating councils and schools and libraries across the state to pool our resources.”

Acksman said the data bases contain everything from sports magazines to consumer reports. He said every few years the state library purchases additional subscriptions.
