ND COVID-19: 566 new cases, seven additional deaths

Today's test positivity rate is 6.95 percent.

The state health department has confirmed seven more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,669.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 566 individuals from 44 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 140,746.

These results were from a pool of 8,683 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.95 percent.

276 of those positives were PCR tests, and 290 were antigen tests.

2,562,608 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 518,170 unique individuals have been tested.

193 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 708 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 135,191. This leaves 3,886 active confirmed cases.
