673 new COVID-19 cases, five deaths confirmed

North Dakota's death toll is now 1,751.

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,751.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 673 individuals from 47 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 147,053.

These results were from a pool of 10,387 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.92 percent.

270 of those positives were PCR tests, and 403 were antigen tests.

2,655,832 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 527,016 unique individuals have been tested.

161 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 477 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 141,599. This leaves 3,703 active confirmed cases.
