ND COVID-19: 608 new cases confirmed, five more deaths

North Dakota's death toll has risen to 1,784.

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,784.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 608 individuals from 42 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 150,467.

These results were from a pool of 10,398 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.32 percent.

237 of those positives were PCR tests, and 371 were antigen tests.

2,708,959 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 531,375 unique individuals have been tested.

150 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 477 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 145,056. This leaves 3,627 active confirmed cases.
