The state health department has confirmed eight more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,823.
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.
According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 780 individuals from 46 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 156,114.
These results were from a pool of 8,156 tests for a daily positive rate of 10.11 percent.
240 of those positives were PCR tests, and 540 were antigen tests.
2,787,958 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 538,421 unique individuals have been tested.
161 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
Since yesterday 530 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 151,024. This leaves 3,267 active confirmed cases.
