The North Dakota Department of Health is introducing a new website called Knowtify, offering content aimed at informing North Dakotans on various health topics. Marie Moe is NDDoH Chief Communications Officer.
"Knowtify is a health blog that we launched this week. We really began working on the concept last fall, we realized that a lot of North Dakotans were relying on the North Dakota Department of Health's media pages to receive health information, but not everyone is on social media. There are limitations to social media; it's not searchable, algorithms determine when you see the content and if you see the content. So we wanted to create a place where we could house this important health information, where North Dakotans can go to find verified information that is relevant, timely, searchable, and available in other languages if English is not their first language."
Knowtify ND has a variety of health and safety content.
"We have topics that are seasonal, such as tips on how to prevent the west nile virus or food safety for memorial day barbecues, boat safety, ar seat safety. We also have information on specific health topics like blood pressure or heart health, staying active and ways you can stay active when the weather is not that great."
More information can be found on the NDDoH website or knowtify.health.nd.gov.
