ND COVID-19: 1,102 new cases confirmed this week

This is an increase of over 350 cases from the week before.

The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services is reporting an uptick in officially recorded cases of COVID-19 this week.

According to the department’s coronavirus dashboard, this week 1,102 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. This averages out to just over 157 new cases statewide per day. The dashboard says North Dakota’s case rate per 100,000 people is 145.

242 new cases were confirmed in Cass County, 185 in Burleigh County and 101 in Grand Forks County.

Hospitalizations are up as well; this week 81 new patients were admitted to area hospitals with COVID-19. Currently 58 inpatient beds and six ICU beds are occupied with COVID patients.
