One more COVID-19 death; 33 new cases of novel coronavirus in ND

One more individual has passed away with COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the statewide death toll to 66.

The patient was a man in his 70s from Cass County. He had underlying health conditions.

The state health department has confirmed 33 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus. The new positives are from a pool of 2,626 tests for a positive rate of 1.3 percent.

21 of the cases were from Cass County. There were five new cases from Stutsman County, while Burleigh and Ransom Counties each had two new cases. Grand Forks, Walsh and Ward Counties each had one new case.

There have been 2,679 positives overall.

The state of North Dakota has done over a hundred thousand tests for COVID-19 – with the new test total of 101,327. 74,502 of those tests have been done on unique individuals.

There have been 172 total hospitalizations, while 34 individuals remain hospitalized.

There have been 2,169 recoveries. There are 444 currently active confirmed cases.
