Patrick Mathews Halmrast is a composer and a sound artist from Moorhead, Minnesota. His father, Lynn, had been a crew member on the Hjemkomst — the modern re-creation of a Viking ship that sailed to Norway. And, as it turns out, the crew had taken along an audio recorder. Patrick used these tapes to create a documentary, audio art piece, and family memoir.
