NDSU Bison Strides Volunteer Training

Bison Strides, the NDSU Department of Animal Sciences Equine Assisted Services program is looking for volunteers to support participants who have physical, cognitive, emotional, behavioral or mental health disabilities at the NDSU Equine Center during their horseback riding or therapy sessions. No horse experience is needed for most sessions!

Volunteer Training will be held on Tues, March 25 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the NDSU Equine Center 5140 19th Ave N., Fargo. A commitment of 1 hour per week is requested for each 6-week session. Volunteers should be able to walk (and occasionally jog) next to a horse in a sand/dirt arena for an hour. Close toed and heeled shoes are required. No RSVP required. Volunteers must be 16+
