We invite you to join us as we launch Fundingsland HeART for Homes, a new community initiative inspired by the life and legacy of Lynn Fundingsland (1948–2025).
In partnership with Furniture Mission of the Red River Valley, the initiative will connect donated artwork from area artists with people accessing community housing supports, helping bring beauty, personality, and a sense of belonging into their homes. The initiative is funded through the Fundingsland Art for Equity Fund, managed by the FM Area Foundation.
This work continues the legacy of Lynn Fundingsland, a local artist, longtime Gallery 4 member, and advocate for accessible housing. Lynn believed deeply in the power of art and in creating a community where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity.

Join Soul Solutions Recovery Center for the Recovery Requires Action 5K, a family-friendly run/walk to raise awareness and support for individuals on the path to recovery from substance use disorder. Enjoy an evening of movement, community, and purpose as we come together to celebrate hope, resilience, and healing. All proceeds benefit Soul Solutions Recovery Center's mission.

Just imagine if we could walk together toward a world without suicide. Since 2002, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP) Out of the Darkness Walks have brought friends, neighbors, family members and colleagues together to walk through their communities to raise public awareness and funds to support suicide prevention, including education programs in local schools and workplaces; support for those who’ve lost loved ones; advocacy for critical mental health and suicide prevention legislation; and scientific research that helps us learn more how we can save more lives.

WHAT: F/M Area Out of the Darkness Community Walk
WHEN: Sunday, September 20th, 2026
WHERE: Scheels Arena
TIME: Activities begin at 12 pm, and the Opening Ceremony starts at 2 pm

The Out of the Darkness walks help raise much-needed funds for suicide prevention. Dollars raised support mental health research, prevention education, advocacy, and support for loss survivors.
The F/M Walk is also an opportunity to be there for one another, including ourselves, when someone is struggling. By participating, you are stepping into a growing movement of people sending the message that suicide can be prevented and that together, we can do more to save lives and support everyone’s mental health.

Grace United Methodist Church at 1120 17th St S, Moorhead, will hold their annual Fall Festival, Saturday, October 10, from 8am-2pm featuring a “pay as you are able” rummage sale, donuts and coffee, crafts, silent auction and bake sale. Serving chili for lunch (free will donation) served 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
