New Salem Company Increases Farm Efficiency

North Dakota is said to be good for entrepreneurship and innovation. The owner of a technology company based in New Salem says he couldn’t agree more.

Larry Mosbrocker is the President and Owner of StopSensor. His company makes an electronic device for positioning equipment in agricultural and industrial environments. Mosbrocker said the product reduces labor and improves safety for users.

Mosbrocker was in an accident in 2004 where he fell of a semi truck. Mosbrocker broke both his feet and noticed that doing farm work was very painful. He said this accident helped spark an idea for StopSensor.

“I’ve been around different electronic devices and things like that. I then came up with the idea of StopSensor; that it could solve many of the problems that farmers face with repositioning equipment more than they have to,” Mosbrocker said.

Mosbrocker said he plans to create more products similar to StopSensor to help with other farm problems.

Mosbrocker won a Sterling Standard Aawrd at the 2013 Canada’s Farm Progress Show.
