Capitol Shakespeare has come to be a summer tradition for the Bismarck area. The event includes nightly performances. The organization also sponsors a one day Children’s Renaissance Faire.
This is the sixth year of the event. Laura Wolff is on the board of directors for Capitol Shakespeare. She is also the Director of the Children’s Renaissance Faire.
Wolff said the Children’s Faire will be Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. The event is free to the public.
“We’ve got a lot of new things planned and some of the things that people have come to expect. We’ve got face painters and things that kids have really enjoyed,” Wolff said. “We have some new things: things for kids to learn and things for kids to see; it’s just fun for everybody.”
Food booths, vendors, a children’s jousting event, and other games will be offered throughout the day.
Capitol Shakespeare will run until Sunday night. She says nightly performances of “The Tempest” will be at 6:30 p.m.
