Facebook

The suspect in the early morning shooting at the Walmart in Grand Forks has been identified.

21 year old Marcell Willis was an Active Duty Airman at Grand Forks Air Force Base.  Willis is reported to have encountered two Walmart employees shortly after entering the store at 1am.  Willis shot both employees, killing one and injuring the other.

Willis then confronted a third employee and fired his weapon, but the shot missed the employee.  A short time later Willis died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities are still waiting to release names of the victims pending notification of family.  At this time there is no known link between Willis and the victims, or the store.  The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
