ND COVID-19 total reaches 159; 12 new cases today

The state health department has confirmed an additional twelve cases of COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the statewide total to 159.

Six of the cases were in Cass County alone, and five of them were transmitted by close contact.

The cases include:

A woman in her 60s from Cass County, close contact
A woman in her 40s from Cass County, close contact
A man in his 70s from Cass County, close contact
A man in his 70s from Cass County, close contact
A woman in her 80s from Cass County, close contact
A woman in her 60s from Cass County, possible travel
A woman in her 40s from Mountrail County, community spread
A woman in her 20s from Mountrail County, under investigation
A man in his 50s from Stark County, community spread
A woman in her 60s from Stark County, community spread
A woman in her 70s from Ward County, under investigation
A man in his 30s from Williams County, possible travel

To date, 4,980 tests have been conducted for COVID-19 in North Dakota. This is up 353 from yesterday. There have been 28 hospitalizations and three deaths. So far, there have been 43 recoveries.
