Eight individuals from Morton County pass away; active COVID-19 cases surpass 3,000

After another deadly day this week, North Dakota’s COVID-19 death toll is now 192, with eight more individuals passing away with the disease.

 

The patients were all from Morton County, and each had underlying health conditions. They include a woman in her 80s, a woman in her 90s, three men in their 80s and three men in their 90s.

 

Additionally, 379 new individuals from 38 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 17,607.

 

These results were from a pool of 6,742 tests for a daily positive rate of 5.78 percent.

  • Morton County – 24
  • Mountrail County - 4
  • Pembina County – 2
  • Ramsey County - 3
  • Ransom County - 3
  • Renville County - 2
  • Richland County – 8
  • Rolette County – 3

576,672 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 226,862 unique individuals have been tested.

 

78 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. There have been 716 hospitalizations total.

 

There have been 14,319 recoveries. This leaves 3,096 active confirmed cases.
