177 new COVID-19 cases; one additional death confirmed

The state health department has confirmed 177 new cases of COVID-19 in North Dakota, as well as one additional death. Active cases have climbed to 860.

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,543.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 177 new individuals from 26 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 112,744.

These results were from a pool of 4,173 tests for a daily positive rate of 4.43 percent.

92 of those positives were PCR tests, and 85 were antigen tests.

The cases broken down by county are:

2,136,497 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 457,403 unique individuals have been tested.

24 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 69 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 110,341. This leaves 860 active confirmed cases.
