ND COVID-19: 1 death, 301 new cases as active cases approach 1,500

The state health department has confirmed one more COVID-19 related death, as well as 301 new cases statewide.

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,550.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 301 new individuals from 38 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 114,481.

These results were from a pool of 3,987 tests for a daily positive rate of 7.99 percent.

204 of those positives were PCR tests, and 97 were antigen tests.

The cases broken down by county are:

2,168,825 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 462,319 unique individuals have been tested.

51 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 155 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 111,436. This leaves 1,495 active confirmed cases.
