363 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death confirmed

The state health department has confirmed one more COVID-19 related death, as well as 363 new cases.

The state health department has confirmed one more death related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,556.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 363 new individuals from 38 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 116,022.

These results were from a pool of 7,118 tests for a daily positive rate of 5.51 percent.

226 of those positives were PCR tests, and 137 were antigen tests.

The cases broken down by county are:

2,195,052 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 465,892 unique individuals have been tested.

62 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 168 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 112,460. This leaves 2,006 active confirmed cases.
