ND COVID-19: five deaths, 709 new cases

Today's test positivity rate is 7.31 percent.

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,634.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 709 individuals from 46 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 136,433.

These results were from a pool of 10,200 tests for a daily positive rate of 7.31 percent.

322 of those positives were PCR tests, and 387 were antigen tests.

2,499,227 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 510,797 unique individuals have been tested.

178 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 642 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 130,309. This leaves 4,490 active confirmed cases.
