Eleven COVID-19 related deaths confirmed, 524 new cases

The death toll has risen to 1,680.

The state health department has confirmed eleven more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,680.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 524 individuals from 42 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 141,268.

These results were from a pool of 8,513 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.64 percent.

247 of those positives were PCR tests, and 277 were antigen tests.

2,571,183 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 519,083 unique individuals have been tested.

179 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 686 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 135,856. This leaves 3,732 active confirmed cases.
