ND COVID-19: 8 more deaths, 583 new cases

The state health department has confirmed eight more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,698.
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.
According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 583 individuals from 44 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 142,985.
These results were from a pool of 9,842 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.34 percent.
247 of those positives were PCR tests, and 336 were antigen tests.
2,596,087 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 521,344 unique individuals have been tested.
199 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
Since yesterday 438 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 137,817. This leaves 3,470 active confirmed cases.
