420 new cases, 1 COVID-19 death confirmed

The death toll is now 1,994.

The state health department has confirmed one more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,994.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 420 individuals from 36 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 170,784.

These results were from a pool of 9,042 tests for a daily positive rate of 5.03 percent.

210 of those positives were PCR tests, and 210 were antigen tests.

3,026,339 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 557,789 unique individuals have been tested.

121 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 423 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 166,531. This leaves 2,259 active confirmed cases.
