Health department confirms three more COVID-19 deaths; 1,234 new cases

Today's test positivity is just under 13 percent.

The state health department has confirmed three more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,015.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 1,234 individuals from 46 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 176,329.

These results were from a pool of 10,605 tests for a daily positive rate of 12.97 percent.

469 of those positives were PCR tests, and 765 were antigen tests.

3,090,155 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 566,070 unique individuals have been tested.

131 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 687 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 172,250. This leaves 2,064 active confirmed cases.
