3,020 more COVID-19 cases confirmed; five additional deaths recorded

Today's test positivity rate is 22.09 percent.

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,061.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 3,020 individuals from 52 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 205,338.

These results were from a pool of 15,330 tests for a daily positive rate of 22.09 percent.

1,363 of those positives were PCR tests, and 1,657 were antigen tests.

3,266,719 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 589,929 unique individuals have been tested.

170 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 1,814 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 193,752. This leaves 9,525 active confirmed cases.
