The state health department has confirmed six more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,127.
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.
According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 1,083 individuals from 46 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 229,271.
These results were from a pool of 10,368 tests for a daily positive rate of 11.71 percent.
529 of those positives were PCR tests, and 554 were antigen tests.
3,421,473 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 607,639 unique individuals have been tested.
163 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
Since yesterday 912 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 221,773. This leaves 5,371 active confirmed cases.
