The state health department has confirmed two more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,174.
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.
According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 243 individuals from 33 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 236,784.
These results were from a pool of 3,873 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.95 percent.
137 of those positives were PCR tests, and 106 were antigen tests.
3,511,125 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 613,948 unique individuals have been tested.
96 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
Since yesterday 139 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 232,717. This leaves 1,893 active confirmed cases.
