Active COVID-19 cases continue decline, as three additional deaths confirmed

There are currently 378 active cases statewide.

The state health department has confirmed three more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,214.

Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 87 individuals from 20 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 238,863.

These results were from a pool of 4,414tests for a daily positive rate of 2.29 percent.

51 of those positives were PCR tests, and 36 were antigen tests.

3,568,205 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 616,529 unique individuals have been tested.

56 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since yesterday 96 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 236,271. This leaves 378 active confirmed cases.
