The state health department has confirmed two more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 2,228.
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed.
According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 68 individuals from 17 counties have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the new statewide positive total to 239,283.
These results were from a pool of 3,373 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.24 percent.
36 of those positives were PCR tests, and 32 were antigen tests.
3,588,920 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 617,950 unique individuals have been tested.
43 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.
Since yesterday 71 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 236,783. This leaves 272 active confirmed cases.
