Cowboy Café, Medora

Ways To Subscribe

We've featured Medora on The Great American Folk Show many times in the past couple of years – it has the badlands, the Medora Musical, the Medora Rodeo, and Bill Lowman's annual Dakota cowboy poetry gathering. It’s quite a special place.

The Cowboy Café is part of the genuine fabric of Medora, and it has been for quite some time. Before it became the Cowboy Café in 1981, it was the Badlands Café, and before that it was Bob’s Café.

Beth and Kevin Clyde have been the owners since 1981. They’re hard-working, good people – they both cook and serve, and you’ll always see them when you visit.

In this episode of Dakota Diners, Tom Brosseau visits the Cowboy Café to talk with co-owner Beth Clyde.
