1 new COVID-19 death; 124 new cases in ND

A woman in her 80s from Grand Forks County has passed away with COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 108. She had underlying health conditions.

Additionally, 124 new individuals from 22 counties have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, bringing the statewide positive total to 7,057. These results were from a pool of 5,725 tests for a daily positive rate of 2.2 percent.

The state health department is also now reporting how many of the daily positives are from “serial testing,” or individuals who are tested multiple times. 1,677 of today’s tests results were from serial testing, and 39 of those unique individuals tested positive.

Burleigh County had the most new cases today, with 41 new infections. Cass County had 18 new cases, there were eight new cases in Grand Forks County, and Foster, Ramsey and Stark Counties each had six new cases. Morton and Richland Counties each had five new cases. Benson, McLean, Nelson, Rolette, Walsh and Williams Counties each had three new cases. Eddy, Traill and Ward Counties each had two new cases. Barnes, Kidder, Logan, Mercer and Wells Counties each had one new case apiece.

A total of 335,542 tests have been administered for COVID-19. 162,014 unique individuals have been tested.

42 people are currently hospitalized. There have been 394 hospitalizations total.

There have been 5,837 recoveries. This leaves 1,112 active confirmed cases.
