1,150 new COVID-19 cases; six additional deaths

The state health department has confirmed six more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 840.

The patients were:

* Woman in her 70s from Barnes County.
* Man in his 80s from Cass County.
* Man in his 80s from Dickey County.
* Man in his 70s from Foster County.
* Man in his 80s from Kidder County.
* Man in his 80s from Sargent County. 

1,150 new individuals from 48 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 72,683.

These results were from a pool of 10,684 tests for a daily positive rate of 11.55 percent.

The cases broken down by county are:

1,077,719 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 337,885 unique individuals have been tested.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 315 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 379 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 2,459 hospitalizations total.

Since yesterday 759 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 61,599. This leaves 10,244 active confirmed cases.
