12 deaths; 486 new COVID-19 cases

The state health department has confirmed twelve more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 966.

The patients were:

* Man in his 70s from Burleigh County.
* Man in his 80s from Burleigh County.
* Woman in her 70s from Cass County.
* Man in his 80s from Foster County.
* Man in his 80s from Grant County.
* Man in his 90s from Griggs County.
* Woman in her 80s from McLean County.
* Woman in her 50s from Ransom County.
* Man in his 80s from Stark County.
* Man in his 70s from Stutsman County.
* Man in his 90s from Walsh County.
* Woman in her 90s from Ward County. 

486 new individuals from 42 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 80,135.

These results were from a pool of 5,709 tests for a daily positive rate of 9.24 percent.

The cases broken down by county are:

1,153,230 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 351,652 unique individuals have been tested.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 301 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 316 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 2,791 hospitalizations total.

Since yesterday 788 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 73,933. This leaves 5,236 active confirmed cases.
