12 more deaths; 852 new COVID-19 cases

The state health department has confirmed twelve more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 989.

The patients were:

* Woman in her 80s from Burleigh County.
* Woman in her 70s from Cass County.
* Man in his 60s from Emmons County.
* Man in his 80s from Foster County.
* Man in his 80s from Mercer County.
* Woman in her 60s from Renville County.
* Woman in her 80s from Renville County.
* Man in his 70s from Renville County.
* Man in his 80s from Sargent County.
* Man in his 90s from Ward County.
* Woman in her 80s from Ward County.
* Woman in her 80s from Ward County.

852 new individuals from 45 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 81,949.

These results were from a pool of 11,245 tests for a daily positive rate of 8.21 percent.

The cases broken down by county are:

1,175,440 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 355,196 unique individuals have been tested.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 324 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19. There have been 2,842 hospitalizations total. The dashboard lists 12.29 percent of staffed hospital beds available statewide.

Since yesterday 805 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 75,653. This leaves 5,307 active confirmed cases.
