16 deaths, over 1,500 new COVID-19 cases

The state health department has confirmed 16 more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 834.

The patients were:

* Woman in her 80s from Burleigh County.
* Woman in her 80s from Burleigh County.
* Man in his 80s from Cass County.
* Woman in her 90s from Grand Forks County.
* Man in his 60s from Nelson County.
* Woman in her 70s from Pierce County.
* Man in his 80s from Pierce County.
* Woman in her 90s from Ransom County.
* Man in his 90s from Ransom County.
* Woman in her 90s from Ransom County.
* Woman in her 80s from Stark County. 
* Man in his 90s from Stutsman County. 
* Woman in her 90s from Ward County.
* Woman in her 90s from Ward County.
* Man in his 60s from Ward County.
* Man in his 80s from Ward County.

1,526 new individuals from 49 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 71,540.

These results were from a pool of 12,927 tests for a daily positive rate of 12.99 percent.

1,067,090 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 335,689 unique individuals have been tested.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 296 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 376 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 2,424 hospitalizations total.

Since yesterday 1,146 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 60,640. This leaves 10,066 active confirmed cases.
