19 more dead; nearly 2,300 new COVID-19 cases after record high testing

The state health department has confirmed nineteen more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 726.

 

The patients were:

 

  • Woman in her 90s from Barnes County.
  • Man in his 80s from Burleigh County.
  • Woman in her 80s from Burleigh County.
  • Man in his 70s from McLean County.
  • Woman in her 70s from Nelson County.
  • Woman in her 90s from Richland County.
  • Man in his 60s from Rolette County.
  • Man in his 70s from Stark County.
  • Man in his 70s from Stutsman County.
  • Woman in her 90s from Stutsman County.
  • Man in his 50s from Stutsman County.
  • Woman in her 60s from Traill County.
  • Woman in her 80s from Ward County.
  • Man in his 80s from Ward County.
  • Woman in her 80s from Ward County.
  • Woman in her 80s from Ward County.
  • Woman in her 80s from Ward County.
  • Man in his 80s from Ward County.
  • Man in his 90s from Wells County. 

 
2,278 new individuals from 51 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 62,872.

 

These results were from a pool of 14,654 tests for a daily positive rate of 17.08 percent.

999,974 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 322,228 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 305 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 425 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 2,153 hospitalizations total.

 

Since yesterday 1,177 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 50,835. This leaves 11,311 active confirmed cases.
