196 new COVID-19 cases, three more confirmed dead

The state health department has confirmed three more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,403.

 

The patients were:

 

  • Man in his 40s from Benson County.
  • Woman in her 50s from Cass County.
  • Man in his 80s from Morton County.

 
Deaths are reported to the state health department by facilities or by official death record, and can take up to ten days to be confirmed. 

 

196 new individuals from 33 counties have tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 96,567.

 

These results were from a pool of 7,334 tests for a daily positive rate of 3.13 percent.

 

156 of those positives were PCR tests, and 40 were antigen tests.

·         Cass County – 32

·         Ramsey County – 8

·         Ransom County – 2

·         Renville County - 1

·         Richland County – 4

·         Rolette County - 3

·         Sioux County - 2

·         Stark County – 1

·         Stutsman County – 7

·         Towner County - 1

·         Traill County – 7

1,479,532 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 389,697 unique individuals have been tested. 

 

53 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

 

Since yesterday 170 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 93,980. This leaves 1,184 active confirmed cases.
