27 deaths confirmed; 409 new COVID-19 cases in ND

The state health department has confirmed 27 more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 954.

The patients were:

* Man in his 90s from Barnes County.
* Man in his 90s from Barnes County.
* Man in his 70s from Barnes County.
* Woman in her 80s from Barnes County.
* Woman in her 80s from Burleigh County.
* Woman in her 90s from Burleigh County.
* Man in his 90s from Cass County.
* Woman in her 90s from Cass County.
* Man in his 80s from Dickey County.
* Woman in her 90s from Foster County.
* Man in his 70s from Grand Forks County.
* Man in his 80s from Grand Forks County.
* Woman in her 100s from Grand Forks County.
* Woman in her 80s from Mountrail County. 
* Woman in her 70s from Pembina County.
* Man in his 80s from Renville County.
* Man in his 90s from Renville County.
* Woman in her 90s from Renville County.
* Man in his 50s from Rolette County.
* Woman in her 80s from Rolette County.
* Man in his 70s from Stutsman County.
* Man in his 90s from Walsh County.
* Woman in her 90s from Ward County.
* Woman in her 80s from Ward County.
* Woman in her 90s from Ward County.
* Man in his 80s from Ward County.
* Man in his 80s from Ward County.

Seven of the 27 deaths were outside the typical lag of up to three days in death reporting. It is also typical that death counts are higher on Tuesdays because of that lag in reporting from over the weekend.

409 new individuals from 38 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 79,655.

These results were from a pool of 3,347 tests for a daily positive rate of 13.37 percent.

1,147,587 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 350,834 unique individuals have been tested.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 319 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 320 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 2,751 hospitalizations total.

Since yesterday 879 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 73,015. This leaves 5,658 active confirmed cases.
