28 new positive COVID-19 cases; record high positive count

The North Dakota Department of Health reports 28 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed since yesterday, the largest single day positive total on record.

One of the cases is a male child aged 0-9 who acquired the virus via close contact. Two cases are from Burleigh County, 17 are from Cass County, one is from Dunn County, three from Grand Forks County, one each from McKenzie and Richland Counties, and three are from Stark County.

The cases include:

  • Man in his 40s from Burleigh County, household contact
  • Man in his 50s from Burleigh County, under investigation
  • Man in his 30s from Cass County, community spread
  • Man in his 40s from Cass County, close contact
  • Man in his 40s from Cass County, under investigation
  • Man in his 30s from Cass County, close contact
  • Man in his 30s from Cass County, community spread
  • Woman in her 20s from Cass County, community spread
  • Man in his 60s from Cass County, household contact
  • Woman in her 30s from Cass County, community spread
  • Woman in her 40s from Cass County, community spread
  • Male age 0-9 from Cass County, close contact
  • Man in his 20s from Cass County, household contact
  • Woman in her 40s from Cass County, community spread
  • Man in his 30s from Cass county, close contact
  • Man in his 40s from Cass County, close contact
  • Man in his 20s from Cass County, close contact
  • Man in his 30s from Cass County, under investigation
  • Man in his 30s from Cass County, community spread
  • Woman in her 40s from Dunn County, community spread
  • Man in his 40s from Grand Forks County, under investigation

To date, 11,704 tests for COVID-19 have been performed in the state. 387 individuals were tested yesterday.
There have been 45 total hospitalizations, 14 of which are still hospitalized.

There have been 163 recoveries, and nine deaths.
