474 new COVID-19 cases, six additional deaths

The state health department has confirmed six more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,013.

The patients were:

* Man in his 90s from Burleigh County.
* Woman in her 70s from Cavalier County.
* Man in his 50s from Grant County.
* Man in his 60s from Stutsman County.
* Woman in her 80s from Stutsman County.
* Woman in her 70s from Stutsman County. 

474 new individuals from 38 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 82,981.

These results were from a pool of 7,521 tests for a daily positive rate of 6.86 percent.

The cases broken down by county are:

·        Burke County - 2
·        Burleigh County - 80
·        Cass County – 164
·        Cavalier County - 1
·        Dickey County – 2
·        Foster County - 1
·        Grand Forks County – 26

·        Griggs County - 1
·        Kidder County - 1
·        LaMoure County – 1
·        Logan County - 7
·        McHenry County – 2
·        McKenzie County - 6
·        McLean County – 10
·        Mercer County - 6
·        Morton County – 16
·        Mountrail County – 8
·        Pembina County – 4
·        Pierce County - 1
·        Ramsey County – 1
·        Ransom County – 5
·        Richland County - 12
·        Rolette County – 4
·        Sargent County – 4
·        Sioux County - 8

1,192,122 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 357,471 unique individuals have been tested.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 305 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19. There have been 2,880 hospitalizations total. The dashboard lists 12.6 percent of staffed hospital beds available statewide.

Since yesterday 727 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 76,999. This leaves 4,969 active confirmed cases.
