725 new COVID-19 cases; five additional deaths

The state health department has confirmed five more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 920.

The patients were:

* Man in his 60s from Burleigh County.
* Man in his 60s from Burleigh County. 
* Man in his 80s from Cass County.    
* Man in his 70s from McKenzie County.
* Woman in her 80s from Rolette County.

725 new individuals from 44 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 78,658.

These results were from a pool of 9,748 tests for a daily positive rate of 8.1 percent.

The cases broken down by county are:

·        Burke County - 2
·        Burleigh County - 130
·        Cass County - 108

1,136,484 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 348,939 unique individuals have been tested.

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 323 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 337 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 2,667 hospitalizations total.

Since yesterday 908 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 70,901. This leaves 6,837 active confirmed cases.
