Active COVID-19 cases 8,370; 1,128 new cases, seven additional deaths

The state health department has confirmed seven more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the statewide death toll to 531.

The patients were:

·        Man in his 80s from Burleigh County.

·        Man in his 90s from Cass County.

·        Woman in her 90s from Cass County.

·        Man in his 90s from Dickey County.

·        Man in his 90s from Dickey County.

·        Man in his 80s from Steele County.

·        Man in his 80s from Stutsman County.

1,128 new individuals from 49 counties have also tested positive for COVID-19 in North Dakota, bringing the new statewide positive total to 43,916.

These results were from a pool of 9,535 tests for a daily positive rate of 12.62 percent.

876,350 total tests have been administered for the novel coronavirus. 295,793 unique individuals have been tested. 

According to the state health department’s coronavirus dashboard, 200 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 278 individuals are hospitalized with the virus. There have been 1,634 hospitalizations total.

Since yesterday 492 individuals have been confirmed as recovered, bringing the recovered total to 36,142. This leaves 8,370 active confirmed cases.
