Burgum to lower COVID risk level, effective Friday

Gov. Doug Burgum will lower the statewide COVID-19 risk level Friday.

North Dakota will move from high risk to moderate risk.

That means bars, restaurants and other food service establishments will be able to operate at 65 percent of capacity, not to exceed 200. They must still provide 6 feet of social distancing, and masks will be required. Dance floors will also remain closed.

Banquet, ballroom and event venues will be able to be at 50 percent capacity.

The mask mandate will stay in place until January 18th.
